The couriers suggest techniques like using black smell-proof bags and making sure to include a disclaimer in the address saying that the parcel contains marijuana. This is because FedEx and UPS have agreements with the federal government that prevent them from shipping Schedule I drugs, including marijuana. This doesn’t necessarily mean these companies are colluding with smugglers; rather, they’re just trying to avoid a potential lawsuit from the federal government.
